  • Ganesh Iyer, PhD

    President and CEO

    Dr. Ganesh Iyer joined Algos in 2009 as President and CEO to lead the company’s continued growth and expansion in the area of preclinical pain pharmacology.

    Prior to Algos, Dr. Iyer was Director of Strategic Analysis and Business Operations at MDS Pharma Services. Dr. Iyer has over 16 years of strategic and business development experience with prominent biotech and high-tech companies ranging from R&D start-ups to F500 companies, including ZymoGenetics/Novo Nordisk, Xcyte Therapies, SkeleTech, MDS Pharma Services and Microsoft.

    Dr. Iyer holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Seattle University.

  • Susan Gottshall

    Director of Operations

    Coming on board in 2005, Susan Gottshall became Algos’ Director of Operations in 2007. Ms. Gotthsall brings 13 years of behavioral pharmacology experience to the company having previously assisted Adolor Corporation in Exton, PA and Purdue Pharma in Cranbury, NJ.

  • Frank O. Eichmann, MBA

    Director, Business Development

    Teaming up with Algos in 2008, Mr. Eichmann brings 18 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in sales, marketing and business development with Roussel Canada, Hoechst-Roussel Canada, Hoechst-Marion Roussel-Canada, Aventis, Teva Marion Partners and Teva Neuroscience. Mr. Eichmann has worked in a variety of therapeutic areas including inflammatory diseases, hypertension, prostate cancer, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia and multiple sclerosis. Mr. Eichmann received his MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

  • James D. Pomonis, PhD

    Director, Technical Development

    Responsible for Algos’ scientific oversight, Dr. James Pomonis, PhD has been conducting research in pain and behavioral pharmacology for 17 years. Most recently, Dr. Pomonis directed clinical research activities for multiple pain management programs for Empi, Inc. Prior to that, he worked as a senior research investigator and program leader at Purdue Pharma in Cranbury, NJ. Dr. Pomonis received his PhD in neuroscience from the University of Minnesota.
