Algos Preclinical Services

Dear Researcher,

Algos is pleased to announce that we have completed validation of a model of fibromyalgia pain in the rat. This model, which induces sensitivity through depletion of biogenic amines in the CNS, may offer the most disease relevant approach to understanding chronic widespread pain as reported by fibromyalgia patients.

While there is no cure, three drugs have been approved for management of fibromyalgia symptoms which include Pregabalin (Lyrica), Duloxetine (Cymbalta) and Milnacipran (Savella).

We would be happy to provide you with more details, including the validation data, or discuss other models of inflammatory, neuropathic, bone/joint, post-surgical and visceral pain.

It is time to celebrate!

We have completed our move to a newly renovated facility in Roseville, MN and are excited because this will support our growing international clientele and expanded portfolio of preclinical pain models, such as LPA which was validated last fall.

The new facility provides a 50% increase in operational square footage. Roseville is 8 miles northwest of our previous location in St. Paul, home to Algos since its inception in 2004.

We are holding an Open House and Facility Tour on Friday, February 17th from
2 p.m. onwards at our new site and welcome you to join us.
